‘Subdue’, ‘Israfil’, ‘Hot Summer’, ‘Sunset Truck’ and ‘Maki’ are the five films to be screened at Cannes Film Market.

Directed by Hamid Nematollah, ‘Subdue’ narrates the story of a woman who is suffering some difficulties in her life and has to deal with some unfortunate events.

Set in the heart of New York City, ‘Maki’ directed by Naghmeh Shirkhan is a modern love story depicting a young Japanese woman’s coming of age.

“The girl who loves Behrouz will return. The dead will return to life,” the synopsis for Ida Panahandeh's ‘Israfil’ reads.

‘Sunset Truck’ directed by Abolfazl Saffari, is the story of a family who host international tourists. The family faces challenges when an underground music band arrives.

The 70th edition of Cannes Film Festival will be organized on May 17-28, 2017 in the French city of Cannes.
